Top 3 Point Guards In The NBA

There are many great point guards in the NBA right now. Some of them are true point guards and of them are scoring machines. But today, I am going to tell you who I think the top point guards in the NBA who do pretty much everything!

3. Chris Paul

Chris Paul

Coming into his 14th season of his NBA career, Chris Paul is still among the best point guards in the NBA. Whatever team Paul has been on, he has always made the team better. Whether it was him scoring the ball, crossing other players up, or dishing it to his teammates. During the 2017-2018, Paul averaged 18.6 points per game, 7.9 assists a game, 5.4 rebounds per game, and 1.7 steals a game. His assists went down compared to years prior but that will happen when you have one of the best players on your team in James Harden, who averaged 8.8 assists a game. If Paul didn’t get injured in the Western Conference against the Golden State Warriors, many people believed the Rockets would’ve taken the Warriors down. Which in my opinion they would have! Let’s see what the 33-year-old can do this season!

2. Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry

Even though Curry only played 51 games last year due to injury, he is still a top 3 point guard in the league. He can LITERALLY shoot that ball from anywhere on the court and he is arguably the best shooter of all time. Curry averaged 26.4 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, 6.1 assists a game, and 1.6 steals a game. He also won his third championship against Lebron James and the Cavs. Many people believed that he should’ve won finals MVP but at the end of the day, that award doesn’t matter if you won! Let’s get ready to watch another great season by the 2 time MVP!

1. Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook

The best point guard in the NBA is Russell Westbrook. A lot of people are going to argue that this isn’t true because they believe Westbrook is either a “stat padder” or a “ball hog”. But at the end of the day, Westbrook averaged a triple-double two years in a row and won an MVP award. The only big problem Westbrook has is turning the ball over, but that is bound to happen when you average 10.2 assists a game. Westbrook is hungry for a championship this season but will his team be good enough to beat the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets? We will just have to wait and see!
